This image was inspired by my mom and my son.

One morning, while I worked on something important, and didn't need to be bothered, my mother came to help me with my son. She took him outside to play. It was a beautiful day. The leaves on the trees had just started turning their beautiful painted fall colors, the slight breeze help them fall to the ground & sun shined thru it all.
I could not help but stop and watch out the window as my son would make his comments to his grandmother about "raining leaves" and "seeing wind" and pointing out every little thing. My mom replied with that sweet "grandmother" smile.

It was a magical moment in both my son & my mom's life.

While I know it's not really my son's first autumn since he is 3, but when he was watching everything autumn had to bring, it was like he was enjoying his first autumn.

It was shortly after this day that announced her contest, and what better way to depict this memory than using another mother & child. I fell in love with the image I used of her daughter because the camera caught that perfect expression that I was looking for.

When I showed mom the finished piece, she said this short rhyme that I would share along with this piece.
"Autumn Breeze brings the falling leaves; this is the first autumn for you to be with me."
